About Me
For as long as I can remember, music has always been a primary involvement of mine.
Starting at 4 years old, my parents noticed me repeating the melodies from TV on the piano keyboard in the living room. For my 5th birthday, they asked me if I wanted to take lessons to formally learn an instrument. I said yes, and I ended up choosing the violin, which still serves as the foundation for my love of music to build upon.
My experience with performing began with traveling concerts across Europe hosted by my violin teacher with her students, eventually transitioning to school orchestras and chamber groups as I got older. From school talent shows, posting videos online, music competitions, I was always looking for a reason to perform.
I took a break from my classical training towards the end of high school, which is when I began to lean into playing more contemporary music after receiving an electric violin and looping pedal for Christmas. I now balance the two worlds of classical music and contemporary/improv, and it has led me to many musical involvements and performances outside of strings through college and until now.
